    Hello,

I wanted to share a few reading resources on the subject of security.

Check out the book “Data Mining Tools For Malware Detection”, from Amazon. See also the table of contents from the publisher.

This book gives a fairly thorough, very broad coverage of malware types, the issues, and initial approaches to start defense.  Most chapters provide a dozen or so references to further academic publications, to dive into more details.

The 2014 Amazon review states:  “This book described in details several tools for botnet detection, email worm detection, malicious code detection and many other tools for malware detection. It describe the design of the tools and experimental results. Its being used a a text book or reference book for graduate level courses on malware detection at several universities.”
