One of the people that is currently evaluating Kamanja, Guillermo, has been writing models using scikit. I have suggested he join the forum so he can join this thread or start his own. Is there a way to convert scikit to PMML that can be used by Kamanja?

There is a package, but I can’t get price information off of their website.

    Are there alternatives?

I have no experience with SciKit, but from what I have read is a machine learning dev env that is written in/integrated with Python.

This is an interesting thread about SciKit and the possibility of transforming it to PMML and a variant called JSON PML that is being sponsored by BigML (bigml.com):

I have been using this one for a while. It is free, but I hate to ask potential customers to redo their work. It could work with us and it is both a producer and consumer.

I want to see if I can get it to generate PMML we can use, but I have to do that in my free time, which is nearly non-existant. 🙂

We are looking at supporting models developed in Python language natively in Kamanja. I am not familiar with scikit, but it looks like this package is based on python and we can look deeper to see if that is sufficient to run scikits models in Kamanja.

    Thanks
